A report was considered by the Asset Management Committee on 20 November 2023 to note the outcomes of consultation on tree species options for each of the 26 local streets selected for the 2024 Whole Street Planting Program, and to seek endorsement (approval) of each street's majority-preferred tree species for planting. Following this meeting, the Council endorsed the recommended tree species for planting in each street. You can view the final species that was selected for each street in this table.

Planting preparation is scheduled to start in March 2024, with tree planting to follow from 1 April and concluding at the end of June 2024. If your property verge doesn't look like it will receive a street tree, this is likely because we have assessed it as unsuitable due to location of underground services or available space.
