Decision report on tree species preferences for planting in 2024

Following engagement with 26 selected local streets in September and early October 2023, we can now share the preferred tree species for planting in each as part of the 2024 Whole Street Planting Program.

A report will be considered by the Asset Mangement Committee on Monday evening, 20 November 2023, noting the outcomes of consultation and which seeks endorsement (approval) of the program and street tree species selections.

You can view the report to the Committee below, as well as shortcut to the table listing each street's tree species preference for planting.

All individuals of the public have the opportunity to make an application to address the Committee before any decisions are made. This is called a deputation request. Applications must be submitted before 10am Monday, 20 November 2023 to be considered by the relevant Committee Chair. You can find out more and how to apply, below.

  • Would you like to address the Committee?

    Addressing Council or a Committee is called a 'deputation'. A member of the community has the right to request a deputation in support of any written submission, and the request may be granted at the discretion of the Council/Committee Chair.

    Only 2 deputations are allowed at each meeting, however the Chair may accept additional deputations in certain cases. There is a 5-minute limit for presentation and question time.
