We are pleased to share that the Woodlake Reserve Upgrade is now complete!

We hope you're enjoying the new, gathering areas, amenities and play/agility equipment. The design and features of the reserve upgrade were based on the feedback we received from community in 2021/22 during the reserve masterplan consultation process, and also following us sharing the final reserve upgrade plan with the community surrounding Woodlake Reserve on 15 June 2023. The purpose of this upgrade was to provide features such as new shelters, picnic areas, paths and landscaping, as well as a small 'nature play' area, with feedback requesting features young adults and others could use such as agility/fitness/hybrid-based play. The play design was to offer something different to the nearby playgrounds at Maramba West and Tiranna Reserves.

If you're looking for a space with more features, play and public amenities, it's best to visit nearby Tiranna Reserve (250 metres away) which supports these facilities.

Irrigation Upgrade

The irrigation upgrade is a separate project which will commence shortly and be complete by the end of this year, to compliment the recent reserve upgrade.

We have recently applied a light layer of hydro-seed (a sandy mix of water, grass seed, mulch and fertilizer) to the current surface, as a dust suppressant. When the irrigation upgrade is complete, a final layer of hydro-seed will be applied, and the new watering system will encourage the turf growth.

The playground will be accessible during this time, but areas of the reserve will be restricted in sections while the irrigation work is underway.
