Public Meeting date announced

21 December 2022

Following the conclusion of the local government elections a date and time has now been set for Council’s City Services Committee in 2023 to hold the Public Meeting as part of the Code Amendment process. The Public Meeting will be held on Monday 20 February 2023 at 6pm at Council’s Civic Centre, 72 Woodville Road, Woodville.

The Public Meeting is a statutory requirement as part of Council’s endorsed Engagement Plan for the Code Amendment process to allow an opportunity for any interested person to appear at the Public Meeting and make a verbal submission on the draft Code Amendment.

It is also important to note a decision on the draft Code Amendment will not be made at this Public Meeting.

At the Public Meeting, the role of the City Services Committee is to hear verbal submissions. Each Committee Member will be provided with a copy of all written submission received during the consultation process.

A subsequent Engagement Report will be prepared and provided to the City Services Committee at a later date, summarising all written and verbal submissions, suggesting responses to the issues raised and, if necessary, recommending changes to the draft Code Amendment for the Committee’s recommendation to Council.
