Squires Avenue - Traffic Safety Improvements

We recently consulted with the local community in Squires Ave and surrounding streets about two line-marking options; which were a result of the feedback gathered through the first stage of consultation in November 2018. Given the preference for Option B line marking treatment was only marginal, and that there were specific objections to loss of parking from residents located at the intersections, we have decided to implement the Option A line marking treatment.

We are preparing to commence the road rehabilitation works in Squires Ave from Tapleys Hill Road to the end in the 2019/20 financial year.

Scope of works will include:

• Kerb and gutter replacement, where necessary

• Asphalt resurfacing

• Footpath Renewal, where required

• Line-marking treatment (Option A) and installation of centre median as per the consultation outcomes

Works are scheduled to commence between July 2019 and December 2019.
