We engaged with the local community, nearby community groups and the wider public from 1 July to 11 August 2024, about the Josiah Mitton Reserve Playground replacement scheduled for completion this financial year (2024/25). Josiah Mitton Reserve Playground is a district playground located on Burley Griffin Boulevard, Brompton.

For this playground, we engaged with you on the replacement of the play and activity tower, the adult and junior swing set, and the rocker play features. The existing basket swing and the climbing rope spinner will remain as they are not yet due to be replaced.

The aim of this engagement was to find out how you play in this space, and what types of play our young community enjoys most so we could develop a new play design for the replacement equipment that would be enjoyed for years to come.
