Renewed Playgrounds in 2023/24 Now Open!

Three local playgrounds were identified for renewal in 2023/24, as informed by our Open Space and Recreation Infrastructure Asset Management Plan.

• Trust Reserve playground, Eagle Court, Semaphore Park
• Sunningdale Reserve playground, Sunningdale Road, Fulham Gardens
• Bower Cottages Community Centre playground, on Bower Road, Semaphore Park

Consultation was undertaken on draft playground renewal concept plans for each of the above locations. Local residents, playground users, nearby community groups (eg schools/kindergartens) and the wider public were invited to provide feedback. This engagement occurred between mid-May to mid-October 2023. During this consultation, we asked you what you liked or disliked about the draft concept plan, and encouraged you to share your favourite play features, any special requests or needs yourself or a member of the community may have, and any feedback about the current playground, such as your favourite play equipment. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us to help us create a final playground design your community will love now and into the future.

The playground construction was completed mid this year (2024) and all new playgrounds are open for community to use and enjoy.
