Playgrounds to be renewed in 2023/24

Three local playgrounds were identified for renewal in 2023/24, as informed by our Open Space and Recreation Infrastructure Asset Management Plan. Consultation was undertaken on a draft playground renewal concept plan, where local residents of the three playgrounds, and the wider public were invited to provide their feedback. This occurred between mid-May to mid-October 2023.

During this consultation, we asked you what you liked or disliked about the draft concept plan, and encouraged you to share your favourite play features, any special requests or needs yourself or a member of the community may have, and any feedback about the current playground, such as your favourite play equipment. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us to help inform a final design.

Final Plans for Trust Reserve and Sunningdale Reserve are now available, with construction starting soon.

The construction of Bower Cottages Community Centre play space is now complete. The new play space was officially opened on 29 March, with the Semaphore Park Goodstart Early Learning Centre children.

What's happening in my local playground?

  • Trust Reserve Playground, Semaphore Park

    A final plan for the Trust Reserve Play Renewal is available and was informed by your feedback. Construction of the new playground will start at the end of April 2024.

    We are renewing the joint public and school playground at Trust Reserve, Eagle Court, with the support of Westport Primary School.

  • Sunningdale Reserve, Fulham Gardens

    A final plan for the Sunningdale Reserve Play Renewal is available and was informed by your feedback.

    Construction of the new playground will start late May/June 2024.

  • Bower Cottages Community Centre Play Area

    Final Plans Now Available!

    Construction of the new Bower Cottages Play Space is complete and it was officially opened to the public on 29 March 2024. Take a look at the new play space being enjoyed by our neighbours at Goodstart Early Learning Centre in Semaphore Park
