FINAL CONCEPT PLAN

The Urban Design Team now has created a final concept plan for the playground following our consultation. We appreciate it has taken some time to finalise the playground structure, however there have been several delays with final design and sourcing of the play structure and materials. Works on the playground structure will now commence in January 2022 at the end of the school holidays.

The existing playground features of the Senior & Junior swings, Flying Fox, Basket Swing & Carousel will be retained and the play structure will be replaced.

The final design and Council approval for the shade structure is still to be completed and we will provide an updates as they occur.

Some of the existing features in the playground will be retained which include:

• Flying fox
• Junior and senior swings
• Basket swing

The new features will include:

• New Play Structure
  • Disability Access
  • Slide
  • Rope Climb
• Mounds with a rubber surface for free play & climbing
• Carousel to be replaced
• All access ramp to play structure

New shade structures will also be installed following the recent damage and removal of the previous structures. Nearby residents will be notified in the near future on the shade structure works through a formal Development Assessment process.
