Final Concept Plans and Construction of Playgrounds

The Final Concept Plans and Detailed Designs have now been completed for our playgrounds and construction will commence shortly. There will be limited access to the playgrounds during construction.

Work is anticipated to be undertaken from February 2021 to June 2021 and will be carried out during normal working hours between 7:00am and 4:00pm on weekdays, though some occasional Saturday work may be required.

Playground Renewal 2020-21 - Update

The consultation period has now closed and thank you to everyone who participated in our consultation. It was great to meet with some of you face to face virtually, which made it a unique experience.

Our Landscape Architect is now reviewing all of the feedback that we received to finalise the concept plan.

Details of the final concept plan will be sent to residents and consultation participants once this process is completed.

The Urban Design Team has created concept plans for Almond Reserve Woodville South, Harold & Cynthia Anderson Reserve West Beach, Pennington Oval and Sparrow Reserve Woodville North and we would like you to let us know what is important to you in these community spaces. Have your say on the elements of the concept plan for the play equipment and play space and let us know what you and your family like, dislike or would like to see updated.

This project is for the playground structure and play space only and does not include any other infrastructure eg: shade structures, toilets, BBQ, turf or irrigation. Each reserve renewal has a separate budget and the concept plans have been designed with this in mind.

You can let us know your thoughts for the concept plan for each reserve by completing the survey which closes at 5:00pm, Friday 26 June 2020.

We will also be conducting 2 Virtual Consultations for each playground from 12:00pm-12.30pm and 4:00pm-4:30pm so you can chat with staff about your playground and options for the concept plan.
