At its meeting of 27 May 2024 Council endorsed the concept designs for the new pocket parks as presented with the Community Engagement Report to the Asset Management Committee on 20 May 2024. The final park concept designs were informed by feedback received from the community during the initial community engagement on draft concept plans, undertaken during February & March 2024.

You can view the Asset Management Committee decision report in the meeting agenda, including attached appendices; Community Engagement Report (Item 4.29 Appendix 3 pg 69), and the final pocket park concept plans (Item 4.29 pg 66).

Next steps

The Department of Infrastructure and Transport will start preparation works onsite towards the end of this year, with construction of the parks to start in the early months of 2025. We will likely engage with the community on the Community Land Management Plans and reserve names when construction of both sites is nearing completion. As a project follower or participant of the consultation process, we will notify you when consultation on these matters is open. If you would like to be directly notified when this next stage of consultation opens, please return to the project page and click "Follow".

Below are the final concept plans as amended following feedback from the community and approved by Council.
