Council Report: Future Improvements to Sinclair Reserve in Grange

13 February 2025

A report is now available to view about the community's suggested improvements for Sinclair Reserve - a local reserve on Sinclair Street in Grange. The report follows engagement with the community in October/November 2024 on how you would like to use the space and what improvements might encourage you to visit more often.

This report will be presented to Council at its Strategic and Engagement Committee meeting on Monday evening, 17 February 2025.

The report proposes that Council:

  1. Consider a budget bid for $60,000 for improvements at Sinclair Reserve, including new rubbish bin, irrigation, nature play elements and greening initiatives, to the 2025/26 Annual Business Plan and Budget process.
  2. Notes that there is $10,000 of approved funding remaining for the project in the 2024/25 financial year, with the funding to be used to install new seating at Sinclair Reserve, Grange (Project 3601) by end-June this year.

You can view more about the engagement findings, read the decision report and project recommendations in the meeting agenda, and find out how to address the Committee before any decisions are made by following the links below.

If approved, when will we see the improvements?

If the recommendations in the report are approved as written, we will install new seating in the reserve this financial year. Then, if the full budget to deliver the additional improvements is approved in the 2025/26 Annual Business Plan and Budget process, we will notify the community. This may include direct notification to project followers and participants (e.g. you), and via advance notice signage on the reserve a few weeks before the remaining improvements are delivered. However, if further engagement is required on a draft design, we will release an update to this project page for all previous project participants and followers and also notify the local community.
