At the Council meeting of 10 October 2022, a report was tabled providing the outcomes of the Stage 2 Community Engagement results. In case you missed it, you can review the Stage 2 Community Feedback Summary on the YourSay project page, here.

At this meeting, the Council resolved that, following the conclusion of the Local Government elections and the caretaker period, a further report be brought before Council at its meeting of 12 December 2022 for a decision on the preferred, future lake management option as a result of the Freshwater Lake Review.

This report has been prepared and is now available to view in the Council agenda for the meeting of 12 December 2022. If you are interested to view the preferred option being considered for endorsement, you can download the agenda for this meeting via the City of Charles Sturt's Council agenda and minutes webpage.

If you would appreciate the opportunity to be heard by the Council on the matters being considered in this report, you can make a Deputation request, in writing to the Mayor or via the Deputation Request Form (online via the link), by 10am on Monday, 12 December 2022.

Alternatively, we will provide a further update on the project page following the meeting to advise on the outcome of the report and Council's decision. If you're interested in the outcome but are not following the YourSay project page 'Taking a Fresh Look at Freshwater Lake', you're encouraged to head back to the main project page and hit the '+Follow' button in the top banner. This way you will be kept in the loop with future updates, and you can track the progress of this project.
