Council’s 2026-2030 Animal Management Plan sets the direction for the management of urban animals within our community for the next 5 years as required under the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995.
Consultation will open in August.
We will be seeking your feedback early September and into October on four playgrounds that are being replaced in 2026/27. The playgrounds to be replaced are:
Site preparation and construction at the new parks in Chief Street, Brompton and Drayton Street, Bowden is underway and will continue to late 2025. When construction is almost complete, we will ask the community to comment on a Community Land Management Plan for each park, which may include what each park should be known as.
