What will this group do?

The group will develop a Community Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our City.

Who will be involved?

Members in our community including residents, visitors, businesses, and industry. Members of the Group also include Local Government representatives and State Government representatives that have a connection with the City of Charles Sturt. The Group will be supported by City of Charles Sturt staff, and experts in a range of fields, during the development of the Action Plan.

What interests or experience do members have?

Community members have a strong interest and passion for taking mitigation action on climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Prior knowledge or experience is not a requirement, just the commitment to develop the Action Plan and help support our community to implement the Action Plan once developed.

How much time is involved?

Members will spend a couple of hours a month from February to October 2023 developing the Action Plan, Significant information and data has already been gathered through surveys, workshops and other engagement for the project, including a GHG emissions profile for our community which will be utilized to support the development of the Action Plan.
